Alaknanda River Rafting Expedition
Expedition in River Alaknanda with white water river rafting experience adventure down the Alaknanda and the Ganges rivers. The adventure trip starts from our base camp on the Ganges river near the pilgrim town of Rishikesh. This trip is best for those who wish to Venture into nature, Expedtion starts with scenic drive for 4 hours past the town of Devprayag, where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet to form India's holiest river, the Ganga. We reach Rudraprayag, at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers, and from here our expedition begins.the rafting expedtion takes you through thick forests and deep gorges, ending each day at a different river beach to make camp for the night, enhancing the adventure of being on the river.Gushing river,sandy beaches and starry nights make this a truly outdoor trip.
Expedition is combination of upto Grade IV rapids, riffles and strong Eddies.Trip is organized with 16 – 18 foot Hypalon paddle and Oar Paddle rafts with well experienced river Guides and helpers who are well versed with the rivers mood and temperament.The river expedition will be combination of breath taking views, Fresh water streams, thick Jungles and sandy beaches.
DAY 01 : DELHI – RAFTING CAMP IN RISHIKESH
Morning Pick up from Delhi and Drive to Rishikesh 7 hours from Delhi to rafting Camp on the banks of the Ganga in Rishikesh (from here the river Ganga enter the plains).Check in at the Camp with introduction with the river guides and helpers and dos and donts of river . Campfire dinner and overnight at Camp
DAY 02 : RISHIKESH - RUDRAPRAYAG
Early morning guided trek to waterfall come back to the camp for breakfast and afternoon drive to Rudraprayag from the Camp to. Enroute we stop at Devprayag, to se the confluence of the two rivers (the Alaknanda and the Bhagirathi) which meet to form the Ganga. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 03 : EXPEDITION
After breakfast, inflate the rafts and pack your bags for expedition.assemble at the starting point and briefing follows with instructions on paddling commands, rapids to be encountered etc. Expedition begins with a big Grade IV rapid, "The Holy Hole", at the confluence with the Mandakini. Rapids keep coming in quick succession. Soak in the sun, river and scenery, staying alert to help negotiate rapids. Lunch at a waterfall and continue to make camp for the night after Srinagar. Long day on the river, covering about 36 river kms.Campfire dinner and overnight Camping.
DAY 04 : EXPEDITION
Today Raft down to Devprayag, the confluence of the Alaknanda & Bhagirathi rivers. The river is now called the Ganga. Camp at Beas Ghat, a famous angling spot for the mahaseer, also called the Ganga Gold. Cover 30 kms for the day and Campfire Dinner and overnight camping.
DAY 05 : EXPEDITION
This stretch is calm and easy with few small rapids. A day for swimming, body surfing, relaxing and spotting wildlife and photography. 40 kms rafting to reach camp at Bhrampuri after running a couple of Grade IV rapids, "Daniel's Dip" and "The Wall.Campfire Dinner and Overnight camping.
DAY 06 : CAMPING AT FIXED CAMPS ON RIVERSIDE.
Day begins with few small rapids, followed by " "Three Blind Mice", "Crossfire","Golf Course" "Roller Coaster" and the "Body Surfing rapid". Cover 20 kms to reach Bhrampuri and overnight stay at Beach Camp for the last night on river.Farewell Dinner specially organized with Bonfire.
DAY 07 : CAMP – DELHI
Morning Breakfast and pick up from the camp and drive to Rishikesh.The trip ends at Delhi. Dropping at the Airport to catch the Flight for onward Journey.
