Views of India’s Celebrated Himalayan Ranges – an hour’s drive from the lodge.

The Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve has been described by many as one of the most prolific eco-systems of the Indian sub-continent. Enriching the land of the royal Bengal tiger is the emerald green, boulder-strewn western Ramganga River and its tributaries that cascade through its eastern periphery. Headwaters of the mighty Ganges - the western Ramganga River plays host to a variety of fish and aquatic life. Of these the most significant to the angler is the Golden Himalayan Mahseer.

Angling adventures in this part of the Himalayas have been talked about and documented since the English fell in love with the Mahseer and its rivers. As the western Ramganga River enters the tiger reserve it is separated into four beats that offer the world of angling a very special environment. These beats present unique sight-fishing opportunities for these legendary game-fish. Our property is located on the game-rich, eastern corridor of the tiger reserve, on the banks of the western Ramganga River. This private concession is leased from the village and consists of four thatched river-front cottages. Perched on
top of a hill, each one of these cottages overlooks dynamic views of the valley, providing quite the ideal; Indian jungle experience.
